Mrs. Annie E. Bodine, age 88, passed away at the home of Mrs. H. R. Havens in Connersville, on Tuesday, January 5th. She was born and reared in Carthage, Ind., and early in life was united in marriage to Capt. Wm. A. Bodine, who was at the time honorably discharged from the army service during the Civil War. Her entire life was spent in Morristown, where her husband was engaged in the mercantile business. Mrs. Bodine leaves one niece, Mrs. Wm. Hauk, of Carthage; one nephew, L. F. Carr, of Shelbyville, and Mrs. H. R. Havens, a foster daughter, at whose home she died. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the M. E. Church in Morristown, Rev. E. A. Gillum officiating. Burial in Asbury cemetery. Hopkins & Gordon, funeral directors, of Knightstown, in charge. [Obituary contradicts her birth place with death certificate.]
