Martha Bodine, age 49 and single, was living April 1930 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York where she was engaged as a high school Latin teacher. She was still living in Brooklyn in Jan 1936.

Final rites for John N. Keeler, 72, 3229 S.E. Crystal Springs boulevard, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at McGinnis & Wilhelm. Vault entombment will be at the Portland mausoleum. His pastor, Dr. O. LeRoy Walter, will officiate. Mr. Keeler died at his home Tuesday of a heart attack. Born in East Smithfield, Pa., August 16, 1876, he had lived in Portland since 1902. He was a graduate of Groves college and taught school in Pennsylvania and St. Johns before going to Meier & Frank company as credit manager in 1904. He remained there until 1914 when he transferred to Olds & King in the same capacity. In 1919 he started his own credit reporting business. He retired in January, 1945. He was secretary-treasurer of the Retail Credit association, representative of the Pacific Northwest credit bureaus, member of the Associated Credit Bureaus of America, former secretary of the Oregon Retail credit bureaus, member of Rotary International, the YMCA, the chamber of commerce, Scottish Rite and Al Kader Temple of the Shrine and the Moreland Presbyterian church, where he served as an elder for many years. He is survived by the widow, Martha, and one sister, Mrs. Earl Brooks, East Smithfield, Pa. Mrs. keeler has requested that gifts be sent to Lewis and Clark college in his memory instead of flowers to the funeral.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McGillis and Wilhelm Mortuary for Martha Bodine keeler, 3229 SE Crystal Springs Blvd., who died Wednesday. Mrs. Keeler was born at Mansfield, Pa., taught in the New York public schools, then moved to Portland in 1938 when she was married to John Nelson Keeler, now deceased. She was active in Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Kappa Phi, Alpha Omicron Pi, Cornell Club, Panhellenic, D.A.R., Women of Rotary, Phi Mu Epsilon, American Association of University Women and the Moreland Presbyterian Church. She founded John N. Keeler Memorial Fund for Lewis and Clark College and sponsored other philanthropies for student aid at Lewis and Clark and Cornell University. Private entombment will be at Portland Memorial Mausoleum. The family requests any rememberance be in the form of contributions to the Martha Bodine Scholarship Fund, Lewis and Clark College.
