In 1900, Conklin P. Bodine lived with his family in Owasco Township, Cayuga County engaged in farming. He reported that in 20 years of marriage his wife had borne 3 children, all then living with him. His 86-year old widowed father, Henry, was also part of the household. Phillip and Nettie Bodine were buried in Owasco Rural Cemetery, Owasco Township where burial records show Phillip was buried on 5 Feb 1929 and Nettie on 27 March 1940.

Several from here attended the funeral services of the late Conklin Bodine, 78, who passed away at the City Hospital Tuesday morning, which were held at the family home, City of Auburn. Mr. Bodine was born in the Town of Niles and lived on a farm in Owasco until five years ago when he moved to Auburn. He is survived by his widow, Nettie A. Chamberlain; two daughters, Mrs. Mable E. Spafford and Florence E. Bodine of Auburn; one son, Howard C. Bodine of Owasco; one sister, Marion Bodine, also of Owasco, and six grandchildren. Burial was at Owasco Rural Cemetery with Rev. E. Carlton Dewey and Rev. Dr. H. H. Barstow officiating.

OWASCO. The sympathy of this village is extended to Howard Bodine in the death of his mother, Mrs. Nettie Bodine of Auburn. Besides her two daughters in Auburn, Mrs. Mable E. Spafford and Miss Florence E. Bodine, she leaves seven grandchildren, Mrs. Allen Page of Moline, Ill., Miss Doris Bodine of New York City and Marjorie, Tim, George, Harry and David Bodine of this village. Mrs. Bodine was a member of the Owasco Reformed church and was buried in Owasco Rural cemetery.

Mrs. Nettie A. Chamberlain Bodine, widow of Philip Conklin Bodine, died Wednesday evening at her home, 19 Grant Avenue. Mrs. Bodine was born in the Town of Nlles, and had made her home in Auburn and its vicinity all her life. She was a member of the Owasco Reformed Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mabel E. Spafford and Miss Florence E. Bodine, both of Auburn; a son, Howard Bodine of Owasco; and seven grandchildren, Mrs. Alan Page of Moline, Ill., Miss Doris Bodine of New York City, the Misses Doris and Marjorie Bodine of Owasco, and George, Harry, and David Bodine of Owasco. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been completed.
