Notes for: Ann (Hannah / Mariah?) Bodine
The age on her tombstone says 34 years and the rest is unreadable. Her stone says "Hannah Bodine, wife of Jacob E. Decker & dau. of William and Elsey Bodine. The info on the tombstone might also say 1827, age 31. This is unclear.

The will of Jacob P. Decker was written 3 Nov 1858 and therein names his wife Sarah, daughters Effie Bellis, Catharine S. Decker and Hannah E. Decker; son Samuel B. Decker; granchildren Philip Decker, Jacob Decker, John J. Dunn, Ogden Dunn, and Sarah Frances Dunn. He makes reference to the children of his deceased children. Executors are wife Sarah, son Samuel B. Decker and friend Stephen Rapalje. The will was proved 27 June 1859. (Orange County Wills, vol. Y [1859-1860], pp. 118-128)
Jacob Decker married 2ndly Sarah Smith on 15 Dec 1832 at the DRC of Montgomery for which George Bodine and Howard Bodine were witnesses. Samuel Bookstaver Decker was born 25 May 1835 [not 1830, as appears in the transcribed church records] and Theodore Smith Decker on 2 May 1837. Not named in Jacob's will was his son Theodore, who died 24 Nov 1841, his son Philip, who died 26 Aug 1855, and his daughter Mary Dunn who died 13 June 1857 (aged 38-9-18, thus born 26 Aug 1818), wife of Peter Dunn whom she married in 1843. In 1850, Jacob P. Decker, age 62, lived in Montgomery, Orange County with his family of Sarah 51, Hannah E. 21 and Samuel B. 15. By 1860, Jacob Decker was deceased and his family then was headed by his widow, Sarah, age 65, with Hannah 30 and Samuel 25.
