Notes for: David Bordine

There is a Phillip D. Bordine listed as their son in the Hollinger box (Marlatt file, Lenawee Co., MI Historical Society - 44, 3, 28. This file contains Bible records, records from family members, and misc notes.) However, that does not match the census records for this family.

There is a Martha Bordine, wife of David Bordine, who is buried in the town of Benson, Hamilton Co., NY. She may be related to this David Bordine, but that is just a guess right now. Hamilton County is up near Montgomery County in New York and Benson is only twenty miles north of the area where this David's father is from: Minaville/Patterson. Here is the info on that cemetery that I got off the Hamilton County, NY GenWeb site:

Cemetery located in Town of Benson, Hamilton County, N.Y. on State-owned land called Susan Cleveland Country.

Dave,

There were a few other Bordine/Bodines that I saw named in the records in Fonda, NY that I could not find much about, but I gave Deanna Smith their names to research. David M. Bordine was a witness on the mortgage of Isaac Bodine in 1834 (County Clerk's Office, Fonda, NY) , and a Martha Bordine, wife of a David Bordine, is buried in Benson, Hamilton County, died Apr. 28, 1849, at the age of 25 years (NYGenWeb).

...
Well, that's it! I'm sure all thos Bordine/Bodines are related...now to figure out how!

Karen Bordine
