There are a lot of people mentioned on their tombstone. I believe the tombstone is that of Thomas' wife's parents, but I'm not sure. They are buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington, Indiana. Obituary.
Thomas McDonald Bodine, age 62, a resident of 802 Cathy Lane, Mt. Prospect, Illinois, a native and former resident of Covington and former resident of Danville, Illinois, died at the scene of a six car accident at 4 P.M. Friday, September 17, 1965, Interstate 90 south of Janesville, Illinois. Eight person were injured in the crash. Mr. Bodine, who was driving alone, was crowded off a four lane highway and across the median during a rainstorm. His car was hit by an oncoming vehicle but he was uninjured and his car was only slightly damaged in the crash. Mr. Bodine got out of his car to inquire about the occupants of the other car when he slumped to the ground and died. He was on his way home from Madison, Wisconsin. He had lived in Mt. Prospect for the past 10 years and was northwest region merchandising manager for the Montgomery Ward Company. He had been employed by the company for 25 years and while in Danville he was assistant manager of the Montgomery Ward Department Store there. Mr. Bodine was born in Covington, September 5, 1903, the son of Thomas and Elma McDonald Bodine. He was married to Inez Marquess, who survives. He was a graduate of the Covington Community School with the class of 1921 and he attended the University of Illinois. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are: one sister, Mrs. Cleland (Mildred) Douglass of Covington Route 2, and a nephew Tom Douglass, who just entered Purdue University.

Mrs. Inez Marquess Bodine, 78, Mt. Prospect, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 5, at her home. Born July 15, 1905 in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Claude and Jessie Stucker Marquess. She graduated from Covington High School in 1923. In 1925 she married Thomas M. Bodine, who died September 17, 1965. She was a member of Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include two nieces, Mary Lyne Marquess of Glen Ellyn, Illinois and Mrs. Ronald Stanley of Las Vegas, Nevada; a nephew, James Marquess of Wheaton, Illinois; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Douglass of Covington. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services were conducted Tuesday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
