George Bodine, farmer, born 13 Oct 1900 in Fountain Co., Ind., resident of Veedersburg, Ind., son of Robert Bodine & Lottie Latourette AND Ruby Shuff, born 11 Oct 1912 in Covington, Ind., resident of Covington, daughter of George Shuff & Frances Webb, were married 28 Feb 1931 by Charles E. Beebe, M.E. Minister.

George C. Bodine, 60, a life resident of Covington community, died at 7:35 a.m. Friday (April 21, 1961) in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville where he had been a patient two days. Born October 13, 1900, in Fountain County, he was the son of Robert and Lottie LaTourette Bodine. He was married February 28, 1931, to Ruby Shuff, who survives. Mr. Bodine had been a farmer and a carpenter until he retired three years ago due to failing health. He moved into Covington in September 1960 and has resided at 207 10th Street since that time. Other survivors include two sons, Ronald of Peru and Robert L. at home; a daughter, Mrs. June Martin of West Lafayette; a brother, James L. of Attica Route 4; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Partemheimer of Rankin and Mrs. Grace Coffing of Crawfordsville Route 6; and four grandchildren. Services will be Sunday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Glenn Ray will officiate with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where friends will be received afternoon Saturday.
