Notes for: Nancy Ann Bodine

A Nancy Bodine is not listed in her father's pension file. See Ronny's notes below on this issue.

From Ronny Bodine:

From Berkeley County, Virginia (later West Virginia) Marriage Records:
Nancy Burdine and Isaac Conaway were married 4 March 1813. Surety by John Burdine.

Named as Ann in the 1825 pension declaration of her father, she appears as Nancy at her marriage to Isaac Conaway in 1813. Whether or not Isaac and Nancy Ann also relocated to Warren County, Ohio remains to be determined. They do not appear in the 1850 census in either state.

Hello Dave,

I found something which has me befuddled. I have in my records that Ann Bodine (daughter of John Bodine born 1765 and died 1834 in Warren County, OH) married Isaac Conaway on March 4, 1813 - but this record has Isaac Conoway married to Nancy Burdine on March 4, 1815 (another daughter of same John Bodine?) --- could Isaac have married both sisters - perhaps one died very young? I thought it unlikely there would be two Isaac Conoways of marrying age in Berkeley County within two years of each other? I thought I should bring this to your attention for closer scrutiny.

Best Wishes, Janet
