Notes for: Margaret Ann Bodine

There is a Margaret Bodine in the same household with Henry Bodine in the 1850 Census of Lower Augusta Twp., Northumberland Co., PA. See Henry's notes. I will assume that that Margaret was Henry's sister, but it is not for sure.

Martyn Randall & Margaret A. Bodine, both natives of Penn., are named as the parents of Emma Jane Huish (1854-1917) of Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Penn., in her State of Pennsylvania Certificate of Death. Martin and Margaret Randall were living 1900 in Bloomburg, Martin born Jan 1824 and Margaret born Nov 1830, having been married 49 years.

From State of Pennsylvania Certificate of Death for Margarett Ann Randall: Born 30 Nov 1930 in Penn; died 10 July 1909 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, daughter of Levi Bodine & Jane Feaster, and was buried in Rosemont Cemetery. Informant was Emma J. Huish.

From State of Pennsylvania Certificate of Death for Martin Luther Randall: Born 25 Jan 1824 in Penn; died 4 Sept 1909 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County of gangrene of the right foot and leg--senile, and was buried in Rosemont Cemetery. Informant was Emma J. Huish.

Mrs. Martin Randall died at her home on Catharine street last Saturday night, having been stricken with paralysis at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Her age was nearly 79 years. She was a member of the Evangelical church. Six months ago her husband broke his hip by a fall, and has been confined to his bed since that time. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Solomon Hursh with whom she resided, and Mrs. M. H. Rhodes, of Eighth street. A sister Mrs. Rebecca Stroh, of Selinsgrove, and two grand children also survive. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. E. B. Bailey officiating.
