In 1910-1930, the Bodine family lived in Newell, Vermilion County where Frank was engaged in farming. Ava was the daughter of George and Martha (McBroom) Law. Frank and Ava Bodine were buried in Covington Cemetery, Fountain County. On 12 Sept 1918, Frank Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Hoopeston, Vermilion County. He reported he was born 30 July 1884, worked as a farmer and his hearest relative was Ava Bodine.

Obituary.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bismark United Methodist Church for Frank Bodine, 86, of Alvin Route 1. He died Tuesday (June 15, 1971) at the Danville Manor Nursing Home. The Rev. Robert Hack will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington, Indiana. The body is at the Morrison Funeral Home in Bismark. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Born July 30, 1884, in Covington, he was the son of Ward and Maggie Morrison Bodine. He was married in August 1908 to Ava Law, who survives. Mr. Bodine attended Covington schools and had resided in the Bismark area for the past 60 years. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Bismark United Methodist Church and the Vermilion County Farm Bureau. Other survivors include three sons, Dean of Alvin Route 1, Marion of Brighten, Michigan, and Harry of Sheridan, Wyoming; a daughter Mrs. Ephra Smith of Alvin Route 1; 11 grand-children and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ava Bodine, 80, of Alvin Route 1, died unexpectedly at 10:45 a.m. Sunday (September 6, 1971) at the Danville Manor Nursing Home. Born December 16, 1890, in Hillsboro, Indiana, she was the daughter of George and Martha McBroom Law. She was married in August 1908 to Frank Bodine, who died in June 1971. Mrs. Bodine had resided in the Alvin area for the past 60 years and had attended schools in Hillsboro. She was a member of the Bismark United Methodist Church and the WSCS. She was a past member of the Home Bureau. Survivors include three sons, Dean of Alvin Route 1, Marion of Brighton, Michigan, and Harry of Sheridan, Wyoming; a daughter, Mrs. Ephra Smith of Alvin Route 1; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceed in death by a daughter and three sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bismark United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Hack will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington, Indiana. The body is at the Morrison Funeral Home in Bismark. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
