Frances V. Brecht, 89, of 415 N. Drake St., Titusville, died at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Titusville Area Hospital. Born Dec. 6, 1909, in Pleasantville, she was a daughter of Harry and Verna Tubbs Bodine. In August 1938, she was married to William C. Brecht at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Titusville by the Rev. Victor Wallenta. Mr. Brecht preceded her in death on June 1, 1985. Mr. and Mrs. Brecht resided in Titusville until 1950, then moved to Oil City. Mrs. Brecht returned to Titusville in 1993. She attended Pleasantville High School. Mrs. Brecht was employed by Quality Cash and later by the Titusville News Stand. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Titusville and was a former member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Titusville. She enjoyed reading. Mrs. Brecht is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Philip Cauvel of Titusville; two grandsons, Scott E. Cauvel and his wife, Jennifer, of Naperville, Ill., and Sean C. Cauvel and his wife, Amy, of Columbus, Ohio; a great grandson, Brendan W. Cauvel; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by an infant brother; an infant sister; a brother, Robert Bodine; and three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Fornof, Mrs. Geraldine Proper and Mrs. Margaret Peebles. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home in Titusville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. Barry E. Cressman, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Titusville, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Titusville. Memorials can be made to Titusville Area Hospital, 406 W.
