On 5 June 1918, John Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey. He was single and employed by the Philadelphia Electric Company. John Bodine, age 22 and single, was living 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania employed as an electrician in a power house. He headed a family that included his 61-year-old widowed mother and four siblings.

John F. Bodine AND Alma R. Kennedy were married 3 March 1924.

In 1930, he lived in Harford County, Maryland employed as a shift supervisor at the power plant.

1940 Hartford Co., MD: John BODINE 43 NJ asst superintendent-power plant, Alma 39 PA wife. Margaret 14 NJ dau, Marilyn 9 MD dau. residence on 1 April 1935: same place.

In 1942, he registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Darlington, Maryland and an employee of the Susquehanna Electric Company. He stated he was born 10 Feb 1897 in Williamstown, NJ and named Margaret E. Bodine as his next of kin. [Note: His wife, Alma, having died in 1940, Margaret was apparently his 17-year old daughter.]


2nd marriage--1957--MARION ANGELL.
From Cecil County, Maryland Marriage Records:
John F. Bodine AND Marion A. Morrison were married 19 May 1957.

Marion Angell, a native of Canada, entered the United States in 1905 and in 1910 lived with her parents George & Margaret Angell in Martic, Lancaster Co., PA. In 1921 she lived in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and on 24 June 1922 entered the U.S. again at Niagara Falls, New York with her mother and in 1935 Lived in Bethlehem, Lehigh Co., PA. She was 1st married to William M. Morrison with whom she lived in 1940 in Cecil County, Maryland. He died 8 April 1946 and in his obituary in The Baltimore Sun of 10 April 1946 names his wife Marion Angell Morrison. Where she lived after the death of her 2nd husband in 1974 is unclear.

Perryville, Md.---Funeral services for John F. Bodine, retired assistant supervisor at the Conowingo Power Plant, will be held at 2 P.M. tomorrow at the Patterson funeral establishment here. Mr. Bodine, who was 77, died unexpectedly Tuesday at University Hospital, in Baltimore. He had worked for the Philadelphia Electric Company from 1916 to 1961. He had been assigned to the Conowingo plant since 1927. Mr. Bodine, who lived in Colora, Md., was a member of the Masons, a past president of the Rising Sun Lions Club, and a past president of the Darlington Cemetery Association. He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Angell, two daughters, Mrs. Jarl S. McDaniel of Dallas, and Mrs. G. Kenneth Jones of Cardiff, Md.; a brother, Keith Bodine, of Pennsauken, N.J. and four grandchildren.
