Notes for: Ernest Kent Bodine

They resided in Haddonfield, NJ. There were no children. The H. Keith Bodine paper gave the birth date as "Jule 3, 1926." I'm guessing he meant "July," but it could be "June."

From Ronny Bodine:

From The Bodine Family, by H. Keith Bodine, 1950, p. 18:
Ernest Kent Bodine AND Edith Mileham were married 3 July 1926.

From New Jersey Marriage Records:
Ernest Bodine AND Edith Mileham were married 3 July 1926 in Jersey City, Hudson County.

Ernest Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Camden. In 1930, Ernest and Edith Bodine were living in Camden County where Ernest worked as traffic manager for a licorice manufacturing company. Ernest Bodine was involved in a 2-car automobile accident at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 146 south of Grinnell and died an hour later at a Grinnell hospital. See an account of the accident in the Muscatine "Journal" of 25 June 1963. Edith Bodine served on the executive board of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
