The marriage of J. Alfred Bodine, of Williamstown and Anna Mae Marshall, of Clayton, was reported in the Woodbury "Constitution" of 14 July 1909. Joel Bodine was living 1900 with his parents in Gloucester County, New Jersey. By 1910, as Joe Alfred Bodine, he had relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he worked as an office clerk and in 1920, as J. Alfred Bodine, as traffic manager for a motor car company. On 12 Sept 1918, he registered for the World War I draft in Philadelphia. In 1930, as Alfred J. Bodine, he and his family were living in Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina. Joel and Anna Bodine were buried in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilmington. Anna (Marshall) Bodine was the daughter of Frank W. and Sarah Haines (Leddon) Marshall.
