Hi Dave,

I found your webpage on the Bodine family and have both additional info for you and questions.

You have Emily Bodine b. Sept. 8 1810 married at Hamilton Co. OH Nov. 4 1835 to Hiram Constable b. March 9, 1807.

According to my mother and grandmother's records (both my mother and grandmother are now deceased), my great great grandmother was Emily PERDINE b. Sept. 9, 1810, d. March 31, 1892 married Hiram Constable b. March 19, 1806, d. May 3, 1873. Their children were:
1. George (b. Jan 19, 1839, d. 1921)
2. Elizabeth married Silas Jordan
3. Nancy married Truman Jordan
4. Thomas
5. William married Mary
6. Napthali
7. Lydia
8. Hannah married Christian Sanders
9. Mary

I also have actual deeds transferring Warren Co. OH land from Hiram to his son George and from Hiram's other children to George. Some information on Hiram's children is from the "History of Pleasant Plain, Ohio (formerly New Columbia)" by Nelson Stewart, 1952.

I have connected my Hiram Constable to the Constables from Symmes Twp. OH, originally from NY and my Hiram's father as George married Jane Buchannan. I think my Emily PERDINE must be Emily BODINE and my family records are mistaken about her surname. I do not have any confirmed marriage info and would like to find a marriage record. I am positive my Hiram was married to an Emily as I have deeds with her signature as Emily Constable. My Emily PERDINE just has to be your Emily BODINE. My only record of her name being Perdine is from a note my mother typed years ago when she was recording family verbal history and I have no records to back up the name Perdine. (Does all this make any sense?)

To continue my line:
George Constable (son of Hiram and Emily) married first Harriet Hill b. Nov. 1, 1843, d. 1895. They had four children:
Allie B. b. Jan 23, 1863
Emmit M. b. Mach 14, 1867
Wilford C. b. June 7, 1876
Cleveland Lyman b. July 12, 1844

George later married Laura Ellen Little b. May 16, 1859, d. 1936. They had one child:
Edith Maie Constable b. Dec. 9, 1899, d. Dec. 9, 1975 married Charles Penn Kirkpatrick.

Edith Maie Constable Kirkpatrick is my grandmother.

I have photos of most of George's children, George and Harriet, and George and Laura. Also have photos of the farm house where Hiram lived with Emily in Warren Co. OH. I know this family farm well as I spent much time there as a child.

At any rate, I wanted to contact you to see if you were interested in my line and to try and clarify my PERDINE/BODINE question.

Thanks,

Judy Bayless
