Notes for: Marcus Bodine
Information on this family came from Donald and Betty Roach of Pine Valley, Utah. This is probably the "M. Bodine" listed on the 1840 Census of Symmes Township, Hamilton County, Ohio (page 306). She has a copy of his will (1890). He was a wagon maker and lived in Montgomery, Ohio. See remarks on him in the Millspaugh book.
The Marcus Bodine in the 1880 Census of Columbia, Hamilton Co., OH has a wife named Ruth A. Bodine (61, OH, NJ, NJ).

From Ohio Marriage Records: Marcus Bodine and Ruth Ann Holland were married 11 April 1878 in Warren County.

Madisonville. And now comes M. Bodine, Esq., who but recently lost his only daughter by matrimony, and declares that he will no longer remain lonely and disconsolate. Consequently, he on Thursday joined his fortunes with that of Miss Holland of Lancaster, Ohio, and the twain are now domiciled in the old homestead.

BODINE--On Monday, Dec. 14, of pneumonia, Mrs. Ann Maria Bodine, wife of Marcus Bodine, in the 66th year of her age. Funeral from the M.E. Church, madisonville, Ohio, Thursday, the 17th, at 1 o'clock p.m. Friends of the family are invited to attend without further notice.
The will of Marcus Bodine of 14 July 1890 was filed 27 Dec 1892 in Hamilton County and named wife Ruth Ann Bodine, sons Naphtali Bodine and William Lawrence Bodine, granddaughter Cora Conover and grandson Marcus Conover. (Hamilton County Wills, vol. 58, p. 661-662)
