Notes for: George Washington James Bodine

He was baptized at his grandfather's house (James Bodine). His mother's name at the baptism is given as "Rosanna Mattes." Rev. John C. Bechler did the baptism.

RB does not list Emeline Bodine as one of George and Emeline Bodine's children. I don't know where the source for this is; so her being in this family should be taken with a grain of salt.

Subject: Good afternoon Mr. Bodine,

Just wanted to say that you a great web site. My name is Tim Salter, and my great, great, grandmother was Kate Bodine. Her parents were George Washington James Bodine and Emeline Williams. Your site has really filled in a lot blanks, thank you.

From Ronny Bodine:

Moravian Church baptismal records record the baptism of George Washington James Bodine on 9 April 1827 at the house of his grandfather James Bodine Senr. In 1859 George Bodine was reported to be a resident of California. Edwin Salter in his "History of Monmouth and Ocean Counties," p. x, states George James Bodine married Emeline Williams.
