James Bodine AND Cornelia Holmes were married 26 March 1854 by Edwin Salter, J.P.

Cornelia Holmes was the daughter of Joseph and Ann (Stout) Holmes (Stillwell, "Historical and Genealogical Miscellany," III: 355).

ANNA, born 6 March 1855 in Union Twp., Ocean County to James & Cornelia Bodine.
ASHTON, born 10 Feb 1864 in Union Twp., Ocean County to James & Cornelia Bodine.

On 26 March 1874, Cornelia Bodine, John Holmes and Emma R. Wills are appointed administrators of the estate of James Bodine, who died intestate, with bond made by them and by Benjamin Predmore, Jacob Birdsall and Tunis Bodine. (Ocean County Bonds Book 1, p. 597)

James Bodine, 49, died 8 March 1874 in Manhattan. Married; merchant; born in NJ; father born on Staten Island; buried at Barnegat, NJ.

BODINE---At Barnegat, N.J., Sept 17, CORNELIA C. BODINE, widow of the late James Bodine, aged 75 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, at the home of her son-in-law, Joseph Predmore, Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 2 P.M.
