Notes for: Vincent Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

On 19 July 1907, Edith Bodine, wife of Vincent Bodine, applied for a U.S. passport while in Berlin, Germany. In her application she noted her date and place of birth. (Passport Applications, 1906-1925, no. 39146.) It would appear that Vincent and Edith Bodine were traveling aboard when their daughter Paula was born in Germany. On 1 Dec 1909, the SS Haverford, sailing from Liverpool, arrived in Philadelphia. Aboard were Vincent Bodine, 34, Edith Bodine, 31 and Paula, 9 months.

Vincent Bodine registered for the World War I draft in 1917-18 in Camden. As his occupation he stated he was a "Practitioner of Cristian Science." The Bodine family was living 1920 in Camden, Camden County where Vincent reported the same occupation as he did when he registered for the World War I draft. By April 1930, Edith Bodine was widowed and living in Camden with her daughter. Edith reported her occupation the same as her late husband's. Vincent and Edith Bodine were buried in Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.
