From Ronny Bodine:

Luther Halsey graduated from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 1880. He was president of the Medical Society of New Jersey, and twice served as chief executive of the Gloucester County Medical Society. He was a member of the Legislative Committee of the State Medical Society for years. In 1900, Luther and Allie Bodine were living in Williamstown next door to Alice's sister Joanna Garwood and her husband. Alice reported she had borne 1 child, then living, but her child was not living with them. See Luther Halsey's biography in "South Jersey, A History, 1664-1924," edited by Alfred H. Heston; Vol 1, 1924, Lewis Historical Publishing Co Inc., New York and Chicago, p. 6. Luther and Alice Halsey were buried in Williamstown Methodist Church Cemetery, Gloucester County.
