Notes for: Charles Bodine

I think this must be the Charles Bodine buried in the Wayne Baptist Cemetery in Tyrone, New York. There is a probable relative, Charles Bodine Doty, buried in the Wayne Cemetery (8/11/1834-6/19/1898).

I am guessing that the will below has to do with this Charles Bodine. It comes from the Schuyler County, NY GenWeb site.

BODINE Charles (age 47) - will dated 7 May 1864 - probate date 13 Jul 1864 Tyrone, Schuyler co. - wife Josephine; youngest son Charles, dau Alice; brothers George & Ralph. Executor: friend D J Sunderlin. Witnessed by Edward Kernan & Geo Bodine, both of Tyrone.

In the 1855 Census of Tyrone, Schuyler Co., NY there is the following:

BODINE Charles 38 head b. Steuben Co.
Ralph 21 laborer b. steuben Co.
John 19 laborer b. Steuben Co.
BAILEY Sarah 12 laborer b. Ontario Co.

Note: Neither Ralph nor John are his children. These are probably his nephews. If that is so, then Charles must have had an older brother. Maybe John should be older than Charles and Charles is the one born after 1820.

This Charles' wife, Josephine, is listed in the 1875 Census of Tyrone, Schuyler Co., NY. Here is that info:

HALLACK Josephine 38 head b. Chenango Co. widow music teacher
BODINE Alice 16 daughter b. Schuyler Co.
Charles 14 son b. Schuyler Co.
HALLACK John 8 son b. Schuyler Co.
Elmira 6 daughter b. Schuyler Co.
Helen 3 daughter b. Schuyler Co.
