Notes for: Talitha Bodine

Information from Sam Bodine says she was born in 1839 in Jackson County, Tennessee. I originally had her name as Taletha until I found it written Tabitha in the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763-1900. Her name is supposedly Taletha in the 1850 Census of Jefferson Co., IL. RB has Talitha. I will go with that.

From Ronny Bodine:

The Place family was living 1870 in Jefferson County where Waldo was engaged in farming. After the death of Talitha, Waldo was married 2ndly 23 Jan 1878 in Franklin County, Illinois to Lydia Margaret Lance. Waldo and Lydia Place were living 1880 in Vernon County, Missouri. Waldo Place was buried there in Richards Cemetery.

Children: Sarah Caroline (11 Sept 1851), Lidia Elmore (2 Jan 1853), Kansas (26 Oct 1855), Nebraska Margaret (28 Jan 1857), Dica Elizabeth (7 Dec 1858), Hershell V. (29 Jan 1860), James Elmore (18 Dec 1862), Emiline Abigail (12 Dec 1863), Nevada (18 Sept 1865), John Logan (25 April 1867), Thomas Henry (28 Feb 1869), Hannah (28 Feb 1869), Rhoda Malissa (12 May 1870), Martha Ann (29 Dec 1871), Matilda Belle (27 Sept 1876).

End of info.

Hi there, I have been doing some family research and realized I'm related to a monstrous amount of Bodines out of Illinois! I'm related to the Place side, where Talitha Bodine and Isaac Place were married.

I have information on that portion, if you need/want it.
