In June 1850, William and Lucinda Chester lived in Lykens Township, Crawford County, Ohio engaged in farming; in June 1870 in Croton, Newaygo County, Michigan next door to her brother Joseph D. Bodine, and in June 1880 lived in Lisbon, Kent County, Michigan. In June 1900, the couple lived in Sparta, Kent County where William worked as an engineer. They reported that in 52 years of marriage Lucinda had borne 10 children of whom 7 were then living. William and Lucinda Chester were buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Sparta Township, Kent County.
Children: William S. (c1856), Emma J. (c1858), Francis W. (c1861), Mary L. (c1862), Martha J. (c1866), Sara L. (c1871), Charles A. (c1873).
