He was a farmer. In 1875, he moved from Indiana to Kansas. In 1894, Wesley moved from Kansas to Oklahoma. His funeral was held Sunday, August 21, 1904 at 3 o'clock.

In the 1880 Sherman Twp, Clay Co, KS census taken 16 Jun 1880, Wesley Boudine, 52, Farmer, OH, OH, OH; Arabe, 40, wife, VA, OH, OH; Clark, 24, son, farmer, IN, Nettie, 20, dau, IN; David, 18, son, farmer, IN; Morris, 12, son, IN; Ira, 9, son, IN, James, 7, son, OH. In 1894, Wesley moved to Oklahoma. In 1900 Kremlin, Garfield Co, OK census taken 6 Jun 1900, Wesley b. Mar 1827 OH, age 73, widower was living with son James. In this census he states his father was born OH and his mother OH.

Lilah Bodine, his granddaughter, stated that her grandfather, Wesley, told of living in a wooded area, and of Indians coming to dinner at their home.

In July 1860, Wesley Bodine lived with his family in Cedar Creek Township, Allen County, Indiana engaged in farming. His family included his wife Minerva, 31, and children Margaret E. 12, Julia 10, William H. 7, Allen C. 5, Martha J. 3 and Jeanette 8 months. In June 1870, the family lived in Northwest Township, Williams County, Ohio. The household consisted of Wesley Bodine, 43, Arabella 30, Julia A. 19, William 17, Clark 15, Nettie 10, David 7, Morris 2. In June 1880, the family lived in Sherman Township, Clay County, Kansas and was recorded in that census as Boudine. The household now comprised Wesley 52, Arabe 40, Clark 24, Nettie 20, David 18, Morris 12, Ira 9, James 7. In March 1885, the family lived in Clay County, Kansas and consisted of Wesley 56, Arabella 45, David 22, Morris 17, Iria 15, James 11, Jenny 4. In June 1900, Wesley Bodine, age 73 and a widower, lived with his son James Bodine in Kremlin Township, Garfield County, Oklahoma. Wesley and Arabelle Bodine were buried in Enid Cemetery, Garfield County. Minerva Bodine was buried in Leo Cemetery, Cedar Creek Township, Allen County.

Minerva (Silvers) Bodine was the daughter of Frances and Mary (McIntyre) Silvers. Arabella (Buell) Bodine was the daughter of Samuel and Hannah Buell of Richland, Steuben County, Indiana.
