From FindAGrave - obituary notice for Carolyn Brewer - spouse of John R. Bodine - note the number of children born to her!

Obituary read: "Mrs. Caroline Brewer Bodine, wife of John Bodine, died at their home in this city Tuesday night aged 79 years. Some five or six years ago she suffered a stroke of paralysis and since that time has not spoken even a word and was partly paralyzed. She had been entirely helpless for some time and in recurring stroke evidently resulted in her death.

She was born and raised in Wabash Township, and was a cousin of Robert Brewer. In early life she was united in marriage to John Bodine a well known citizen of that township, who still survives her and to this union were born ten children, five boys and five girls, seven of whom, most of them living in this locality, still survive her.

She was an exempliary woman an excellent wife and loving mother and leaves a large circle of friends who mourn her death.

Funeral services were held from the family residence in this city at 2 p.m. Thursday conducted by Rev. A. R. Heath, interment following in Mt. Hope Cemetery."
