Notes for: Humphrey Atherton Bodine

He is listed on the 1860 Census. In the 1850 Census, he is the "Malery" who was listed as one year old.

In 1880, H. Bodine and his wife Emma, lived in New Brunswick, Middlesex County where he was employed as a clerk. The 1890 New York City directory lists Humphrey A. Bodine engaged in real estate in an office at 150 Broadway with his residence in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In 1900, Humphrey Bodine and his 2nd wife, Pauline, lived in Rahway, Union County, where he was now engaged in insurance. In 1910, the couple lived in Plainfield, Union County where Humphrey was engaged in clerical work. The couple reported this was a 2nd marriage for the both of them and Pauline had borne 3 children all then living. The children were from her Woodward marriage. Humphrey and Pauline Bodine had no children together. Emma (Auten) Bodine was the daughter of Gustavus and Martha Auten and was buried in Willow Grove Cemetery, New Brunswick, Middlesex County.
