Notes for: David Bodine
He is seven years old in the 1850 Census (NJ). He was 18 in the 1860 Census. His name looks a lot like "Daniel" in the 1860 Census, but I think it is "David." This is probably the David Bodine listed in the 1880 Census of N. Delaware, Hunterdon County. His wife was Emily (36) and his children William (10) and Annie (8). A David Bodine married an Emily Lair on September 5, 1863, probably by Rev. William H. Pittman. They were both from Delaware Township (Hunterdon Co. Democrat, Sept. 16, 1863, v. 25, no. 58, p. 1306). I am going to guess that these are the same David Bodine.
David is listed as a farmer in the 1880 Census of Delaware, Hunterdon Co., NJ. Both his parents were born in NJ. He was also born there.

David Bodine, age 58 and widowed, lived 1900 with his son William in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. In 1910-1920, David lived in Delaware Township, Hunterdon County, engaged in farming. His household in 1910 included his widowed daughter Minnie Eick and Minnie's 2 daughters, Emily 12 and Laura 10 and in 1920, Minnie and her children William, 25 and Laura, 20.

STOCKTON, N.J., Dec. 8.---The funeral of David Bodine, an aged resident of Locktown vicinity, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Minnie Eick at Locktown, was held yesterday morning at 11 o'clock from the Locktown Christian Church, the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Allen, conducting services. Interment was made in the Locktown Cemetery under the direction of C. W. Green. Mr. Bodine was 79 years old and had spent all his life in that vicinity. Besides Mrs. Eick, he is survived by one son, William Bodine of Allentown.
