Harmon Foster Meinhart, age 66, passed away November 4, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born November 30, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Foster Ernest and Anna May Harman Meinhart. Married Clara Eva Hansen July 15, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Member LDS Church. Survivors, wife, Salt Lake City; two sons, four daughters, Mrs. Jim (Nancy) Sager, Calif.; Mrs. Steve (Linda) Anderson, Kearns; Mrs. Bill (Vickie) Horton, Mrs. Chuck (Nedra) Williams, Ernie and David Meinhart, Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; father, Foster Meinhart; three sisters, Mrs. Gene (Lois) Magers, Mrs. Charles L. (Ruth) Mauck, Mrs. Albert Dean (Nedra) Richardson, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by daughter, Diane Loveless, mother, grandmother, Fannie Anderson. Funeral services will be held Friday, 10 a.m., at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Warren Dannel Matthews passed away July 25, 2006, at his home in Pima. He was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Glenbar, to James (Jim) and Annie Follett Matthews. He received his schooling in Pima before joining the Navy in 1943 at the age of 20. He served during World War II on two different ships, the USS Guadalupe and the USS Bullwheel. He performed service in the Philippine Liberation, Asiatic-Pacific and the American Theatre. He met his wife Loretta in Salt Lake City, Utah, while attending barber school after the war. They were married, she having four children from a previous marriage, and later one child was born of this union, a daughter, Tanna.Warren's main vocation in life was with mining and minerals. He operated the San Jose Agate shop for more than 50 years. While in the rock business he started the first major rock and mineral show in Tucson by renting out one of the major hotels in Tucson and opening it up to wholesale as well as retail customers. This show has evolved into the world-famous Tucson rock show that is held each year in February. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Annie Matthews; his wife, Loretta; stepson Milton Allred; brothers Jack, Karrel and Bill; and sisters Anna, Greta, Madge and Opal. He is survived by his brother, Hugh Matthews; a daughter, Tanna Wyatt (Dane) of Tucson; son Warren Jr. of Florida; stepchildren Norma Boyd (Bert) of Natchitoches, La., Mary Virginia (Ginny) Misak (Floyd) of Pima; and Scott Allred of Safford; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. His memorial service was at the Morris Safford Funeral Home chapel on July 29, 2006.
