This is most likely the Bernard Bodine mentioned in the 1920 Census of Red Bank, New Jersey (v. 88, ec. 119, sht. 2, ln. 33). His wife was Louise.

From Red Bank Register of 27 Oct 1909: "A double wedding took place Sunday at St Catherine's church at Everett. The first marriage was that of Miss Louise Long, daughter of David Long of Everett, and Bernard Bodine of Long Branch. This ceremony took place at three o'clock in the afternoon. The couple were attended by James Long, a brother of the bride, and by a sister of the groom. They will live at Long Branch." {Note: The other wedding was of an unrelated couple.]

On 25 April 1942, Bernard Joseph Bodine of Red Bank, NJ, registered for the World War II Draft. He reported he was born 6 July 1880 in Phalanx, NJ, worked for D. Roger Englar, and named Louise Bodine as his next of kin.

Mrs. Louise V. Bodine, 75, wife of Bernard J. Bodine of 105 River St., Red Bank died Friday at the Ivy House nursing home, Middletown township. Mrs. Bodine was born in Everett, a daughter of the late David and Ellen Murphy Long. She had been a resident of Red Bank most of her life and was a member of St. James Catholic church. Her husband is her only survivor. A high mass of requiem was offered Monday at St. James church by Rev. William Eelman. Burial, under the direction of the Adams memorial home, was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Bearers were Jacob and William Jeffrey, Albert White, Michael Stockinger, Warren Bodine and Edward Keane. Father Eelman offered benediction at the grave.

LONG BRANCH--Bernard J. Bodine of 105 River St., Red Bank, died yesterday at Monmouth Convalescent Home, here. Mr. Bodine was born in Phalanx, and was a retired gardener. His wife was the late Louise Long Bodine. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. May Bodine of Long Branch and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the William S. Anderson Funeral Home, Red Bank.
