From Red Bank Register of 14 Nov 1906: Miss Phoebe Mulrenan and William H. Bodine, both of Long Branch, were married on Monday of last week. The bride wore a blue traveling suit and a hat to match. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bodine. The newly married couple will live at Long Branch.

Following a fall from a tree while engaged in picking cherries a few days ago, William E. Bodine, 52 years old, a painter, living at 234 Janes Street, died of his injuries at the Monmouth Memorial Hospital this morning. Mr. Bodine suffered three fractures of the legs and hip and was internally injured. Funeral arrangements are in charge of John W. Flock and will be announced later. Mr. Bodine was the son of Joseph and Bridget Bodine and was born at Vanderburg, near Freehold. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Phoebe, a daughter, Dorothy, and two brothers, Bernard and Joseph Bodine Jr., and a sister, Miss May Bodine. [Note: The following day it was reported the burial would take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.]

William Bodine was not named as surviving the death of his mother in March 1945.

BROOKLYN---Mrs. Phoebe Bodine, 79, a former resident of Long Branch, N.J., died Monday at her home here. She was born in Ireland, and was the widow of William Bodine. She was a member of Court Star of the Sea Catholic Daughters of America, Long Branch. Surviving is a daughter, Miss Dorothy Bodine. Arrangements are in charge of the Woolley Funeral Home, Long Branch.
