John M. Sales Sr. of North Arlington died yesterday in the Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, Sales lived in North Arlington for 35 years. He was a truck driver for E. W. McClave Inc. in Harrison for eight years. Previously, he also had been a truck driver for the Julius Wile Co. in Teterboro. Sales was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4697 in North Arlington and the Holy Name Society of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. A Mass will be offered tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The Parow Funeral Home, North Arlington, is in charge of arrangements.

Lorraine E. Sales Dearest mother and grandmother, retired bookkeeper Lorraine E. Sales (nee Bodine), 90, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017. The funeral from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, N.J., is on Thursday, May 18, at 10 a.m., thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, for the Funeral Mass, at 11 a.m. Interment is in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Born in Jersey City, Lorraine lived in North Arlington for many years before moving to Florida in 1991. Before retiring in 1991 she worked as a bookkeeper for E.W. McClave Inc., in Harrison, N.J., for 25 years. Lorraine was an active member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast, FL., and from age 76 to age 86, she participated in their funeral luncheon program. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Sales; the devoted mother of J. Michael Sales, Patricia VanDusen, Joseph A. Sales, Christopher Sales and the late Richard J. Sales; the cherished grandmother of four, the loving great-grandmother of three, and the dear sister of the late Jean McDowell and John Bodine.
