BODINE, JAMES LEON, 83, of Louisville, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007. He was a native of Spencer County, retired from General Electric, a Marine and a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Bonnie Cox; children, Jan Scott (Robert) and Greg (Lesa) and Tim Bodine; grandchildren, Cindy and Brian Finley and Leslie, Brandon and Lauren Bodine; and a sister, Mary Ann Rogers. His funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow in Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial gifts may be given to his church building fund.

Bonnie Bodine, 88, died Monday, December 19, 2022. She was born September 22, 1934 in Taylorsville, KY, the youngest of 18 children born to Virgil and Iona Wood Cox. She was a loving homemaker and member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and siblings, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Bodine; and daughter, Jan Scott. She is survived by her sons, Greg and Tim (Sherri) Bodine; grandchildren, Leslie Higgins (Charles), Cindy Finley, Brian Finley (Brittani), Brandon Bodine (Demi) and Lauren Bodine; and great grandchildren, Baker Bodine, Selah Bodine and Jansen Finley. Her funeral is 12pm Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Valley Cemetery, Taylorsville. Visitation is after 10am until the time of the service. Rev. Jim Hume will be officiating and the pallbearers are Brian Finley, Brandon Bodine, Charles Higgins, Jarrod Leffew and David Shelburne.
