FORTVILLE - Mrs. Barbara Webb, 34, of 314 Hamilton, Fortville, died suddenly at her home at 7:40 a.m. Saturday after a brief illness. Mrs. Webb was a member of the St. Francis Del Sallo Church of Indianapolis and the I.B.E.W. Local 1504. She had been employed at the Western Electric plant in Indianapolis the past 15 years. She was born in Indianapolis Dec. 23, 1934, to Jack and Mamie Thompson Brinkman and moved to Fortville three years ago. Surviving with the husband, Robert, are two sons, John and Dennis Bodine, both at home; the mother, Mrs. Mamie Brinkman of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Jo Deere of Indianapolis and Mrs. Carolyn Bentley of Fort.Wayne; and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Brinkman. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ronald Seals Funeral Home by the Rev. Gilbert Scheiber of the Fortville Christian Church. Burial will take place in the Anderson Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today.

John F. Bodine, 64, Indianapolis, formerly of Anderson, died Aug. 6. He worked 35 years for Western Electric Co., retiring in 1985. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266 and American Legion Post 127, both in Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospice, Anderson. Services: 10 a.m. Aug. 9 in Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, Anderson, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug 8. Burial: Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors: sons John A., Dennis J. Bodine; sisters Jane Bodine, Janet Lamb; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Bernice "Bea" F. Bodine, 74, of Anderson, passed away November 10, 2005 at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown with Alzheimer's. She was born May 24, 1931 in Wilder, VA and spent most of her youth in Harlan, KY, where she graduated from Harlan High School at the top of her class. She retired from Western Electric after 29 years. She was a 50-year member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and a member Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, where she was very active. She is survived by her son, D. Mike Brashears of Anderson; three grandchildren, Adrian Brashears of Anderson, Andrea Brashears of Denver, CO and Blair Brashears of Des Moines, IA; several nieces and nephews; long time best friend, Jackie Bailey; and dear neighbors, Carl and Maxine Whetsell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Blanche Hamon; first husband, Cecil E. Brashears; second husband, John F. Bodine; and brother, Rick Brashears. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Zirkle officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
