Sept. 1, 1915-Feb. 3, 2007. Ivan Paul "Jim" Bodine, 91, of El Cajon died Feb. 3. He was born in Scranton, Kan., and was the owner of ABC Hardwood Floors. Survivors include his wife, Helen Bodine; daughters, Shirley Stieber, Marilyn Clough and Janet Madden; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Services: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Mission Valley Marriott, 8757 Rio San Diego Drive, San Diego. Inurnment: El Cajon Cemetery, 2080 Dehesa Road, El Cajon. Donations: Grossmont Hospital Auxiliary, 5555 Grossmont Center Drive, La Mesa, CA 91942. Arrangements: Featheringill Mortuary.

Bodine, Helen SAN DIEGO -- Helen Bodine was born in Kansas in 1914, the oldest of five siblings, all brothers. She died June 26, 2013 at age 99. In 1933, Helen wed her high school sweet- heart, Ivan "Jim" Bodine and had four daughters, Shirley Stieber, Marilyn Clough, Roberta Bodine and Janet Madden. They moved to San Diego in 1950. Jim owned ABC Hardwood Floors. During WWII Helen worked as a burner in San Pedro shipyards and later graduated from Marinello Beauty College. She was active for 16 years in Grossmont Hospital Women's Auxiliary holding positions of Gift Shop Mgr for three years, Harvest Ball Chair (1970), and President (71-73). Her daughter Janet and grand daughter Kimberly Day were presented in 1963 and 1973 Harvest Balls. Helen was also a member of Alpha Iota Epsilon. Helen was pre- deceased by her husband Jim and daughter Roberta (age 4). She leaves behind three daughters, nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great- grand- children. Services were held July 2, 2013 at El Cajon Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Grossmont Hospital Volunteers.
