Notes for: Daniel Bodin

DANIEL BODIN, of Cambray, went to Medis and there married Catherine le Brun, "of an old French family." After the birth of his son, Daniel, he settled in London, where three children were born and baptised at the Threadneedle Street Church.

The source for this information, Daniel's children and the children of his son, Daniel, is the research of one Dr. Gustav Anjou, a genealogist from the turn of this century who plied his trade in America. He completed this research in 1902. The baptisms are confirmed from the registers of the Threadneedle Street Church. Admittedly, Daniel Bodin must have been young if he married in 1637 when his youngest sister was baptised in 1629. We don't know their birthdates so they may have been several years old already.

Note by a researcher on falsified records: Any information on this family probably refers to fictional records cited by Dr. Gustav Anjou, not records he falsified and placed in any archive. Basically, if the evidence did not exist, he created whatever was necessary to make it seem logical.
